Optometrists examine and diagnose many refractive conditions and manage by prescribing Optical aids such as Optical Glasses, Contact Lenses & other Remedial aids. They can also specialize in the field of Contact Lens, Orthoptics, Low Vision Aids, Sports Vision, Pediatric Optometry, Behavioral Optometry etc.

A person licensed or registered to practice optometry. Optometrists are health care professionals who specialize in the examination, diagnosis and treatment of the visual system. 
They prescribe the lenses, contact lenses, visual aids or therapy and other remedial aids to achieve maximum vision and also refer the patients to appropriate health care professionals, if required.
